'Project Flipside’ is a unique photography project that sees 28 world famous DJs, including Fatboy Slim and Carl Cox, feature in an exhibition of a kind never seen before.

Designed by leading photographer, Jessica Van Der Weert, this groundbreaking project has been two year in the making. The DJs and dance music producers have allowed Jessica access to their private lives, enabling the creation of this unique body of work. From Boy George dressed in full army combat, to Carl Cox doing burn-outs in his classic Lotus, the DJ’s been captured off-duty at locations ranging from a bowling alley, to a football stadium, and even the set of Coronation Street.

Some of the other DJs whose portraits are to be included in the exhibition are Orbital, Judge Jules, Annie Mac, Goldie, Chase & Status, DJ Fresh, Paul Oakenfold, Zane Lowe, Mary Anne Hobbs, Krafty Kuts, Eddy Temple Morris, Example, and Shy FX.

Flipside also has a serious aim - to raise awareness for tinnitus and funds for The British Tinnitus Association. Clubbers and DJs are more likely to develop tinnitus than anyone else and for many, the condition can be totally debilitating and even destroy lives. FlipSide aims to raise awareness of the condition, how to avoid it in the first place and if you have it, how to cope with it.

Neil Pottinger, Starkey Hearing Technology adds, “Flipside is truly a unique and exciting project that we are thrilled to be a part of. Starkey Hearing Technologies is a proud supporter of the British Tinnitus Association, so we are delighted to lend our support to this incredible exhibition”.

After the February launch in London, the project plans to travel around the UK, then across the pond to LA, New York and Miami and back to Amsterdam & Ibiza.
